How to Find Your Rising Sign (and Why Birth Time Matters)
Your rising sign, or Ascendant, is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment you were born. It changes about every two hours, which makes it the most personal part of your chart and the one that needs an accurate birth time.
What the rising sign shows
The Sun sign describes your core identity and the Moon sign your emotional inner world. The rising sign describes how you come across, how you approach new situations and the physical look people notice first. It also sets the twelve houses of your chart: your 1st house begins at the Ascendant, so every planet's house depends on it.
What you need to find it
