Name correction: does your spelling suit your numbers?
In Chaldean numerology a name has a vibration. Enter the name you use and your birth date to see your name number, what the compound number is traditionally said to mean, and small spelling changes that harmonise with your birth number.
Why people change name spellings
Public figures in India and elsewhere are often reported to have adjusted a spelling on numerology advice. Reported examples include actor Ajay Devgn dropping an “a” from Devgan, actor Rajkummar Rao adding an extra “m” to Rajkumar, and producer Ektaa Kapoor adding an extra “a” to Ekta. Stage names get respelled for other reasons too, such as singer Kesha dropping the dollar sign in 2014. These are reports, not proof: success has many causes, and we cannot say a spelling change caused any of it.
What the tradition actually says is more modest: a name is repeated thousands of times, so a name you feel good about and that suits your numbers can support confidence and focus. That is a reasonable way to think about it, and we suggest treating a change as a personal choice, not a guarantee.

What is name correction in numerology?
Name correction is the practice of adjusting the spelling of a name, for example adding or dropping a letter, so that the name number harmonises better with the birth number and life path. The pronunciation stays the same.
Does changing the spelling of your name work?
There is no scientific evidence that a spelling change alters outcomes. Numerologists and some public figures report benefits, and it can work as a confidence and focus ritual. Treat it as a tradition for reflection and entertainment, not a guarantee.
Which numerology system does this use?
The Chaldean system, in which each letter has a value from 1 to 8 (there is no 9) and the total forms a compound number between 10 and 52 that is reduced to a single digit, the root number.
Should I change my legal name?
Not on the basis of a calculator. A spelling used on a stage, brand or social profile is one thing. A legal change affects every document, so think carefully and take professional advice.
