Editorial standards

SimplyAstro publishes astrology, tarot, numerology and festival guides and free calculators. We keep the numbers separate from the meanings: dates, times and positions are calculated, and interpretations are labelled as tradition or opinion.

How we source data

Planet positions, retrograde stations, zodiac season changes, moon phases, sunrise, sunset and moonrise come from the NASA JPL DE421 ephemeris using the open-source Skyfield library. Lunar days (tithi) use standard astronomical formulas. Methods are described on our methodology page, and the calendars are open data under CC BY 4.0.

Traditions and festival dates

Hindu festival dates depend on the lunar calendar and can differ by a day between regions and panchangs. We say so on each page and recommend checking with a local temple or priest for religious observances.

What we do not do

We do not give medical, legal or financial advice, we do not predict death or lifespan, and we do not publish fabricated reviews or user posts. Community questions are screened by an automated moderation agent and human review.
