What is a nakshatra?
A nakshatra is one of 27 lunar mansions in Vedic astrology, each about 13 degrees 20 minutes of the zodiac. Your birth nakshatra is where the Moon was and colours your mind, temperament and the planetary period you start life in. It is used for naming, matching and timing.
