Kanya Pujan and the conclusion of fasts take place today if not on Ashtami.
How it is observed
- Siddhidatri puja and havan.
- Kanya Pujan and feeding nine girls.
- Ayudha Puja in the south: tools, books and vehicles.
- Breaking the Navratri fast (Parana) on Dashami in some families.
Dates follow the Hindu lunar calendar (tithi) as seen from Delhi and can differ by a day between regions and panchangs. Computed from NASA JPL DE421 Sun and Moon positions. Confirm with your local temple or priest for religious observances.
