Mercury turns retrograde on 24 October 2026 in Scorpio
Mercury stations retrograde at 21° Scorpio on 24 October 2026, 07:12 UTC (12:42 PM IST). It turns direct again on 13 November 2026, 15:55 UTC (9:25 PM IST) at 5° Scorpio.
Mercury rules communication, travel, contracts and technology. Astrologers read its retrograde as a period to review and revise in those areas rather than start something new. Retrograde is an optical effect: the planet appears to move backwards because of the relative motion of Earth and Mercury.
Mercury is retrograde for about 3 weeks, 3 to 4 times a year.
